Research Interests

My research interest is in the implementation of smart fluid-structural systems with the applications for minimum facilities of offshore structures and other dynamic sensitive ocean structures like floating concrete platforms; and fluid ocean structure interaction.

Since 1981, besides lecturing part-timely, he has involved in various offshore oil and gas projects from design, fabrication, load-out, installation and de-commissioning for reuse of fixed offshore platforms located mainly in Java Sea and Borneo Straits; and some in South China Sea, Gulf of Thailand and Andaman Sea. His career started from engineer, senior engineer, lead engineer, engineering supervisor, engineering director and specialist in PT Tripatra Engineering, McDermott Southeast Asia Pty., Ltd., PT. McDermottt Indonesia and finally PT. Incontech R. Tadatara. With the broad practical experience, theoretical background, research capability and experience in teaching, the offered courses will be application-oriented which will be suitable to meet the requirements of oil and gas industry.
