Research Interests


Modeling and Simulation on Near Real Time Ubiquitous Geo-Informatics;

  1. Web-GIS, including development of remote sensing and GIS server on Web Map Service (WMS) using Open Source Software such as Minnesota Map Server. A Tsunami WMS was developed.
  2. Real time Mapping: To map scenery image at real time. A system for volcano slope was developed.
  3. Crop/Plant Modeling; To obtain crop model parameters from remote sensing data by data assimilation technique.
  4. Debris Flow Simulation: To develop debris flow simulation system. An interactive 3D representation was published on a HP, at http://www.rsgis.ait.ac.th/~honda/debris.
  5. Parallel computing: To utilize the power of cluster and GRID computing for data assimilation and simulation.
